Volunteer in Kenya
Would you like to join us and help the children and staff at Saidia Children’s Home in Gilgil Kenya?
We run two annual trips per year where we introduce our home to interested people from around the world and give them an experience of a lifetime.
These trips normally happen in April and early December and generally last about eight days and the staff and children love welcoming new visitors.
About our trips
Come to Kenya and meet all our friends in Gilgil on one of our 10-day volunteer trips which run in December and April.
We organise everything from hotels, food, transport and tips. What you need to bring is an open heart and a sense of adventure.
These trips are kept as affordable as possible. Many people come once and then end up coming year after year.

Prices & info
We arrange these trips on a volunteer basis but hope that if you do visit and enjoy it that you consider becoming a regular donor. What we ask from you is that you come with an open heart, are emotionally healthy, and can clamber in and out of vehicles.
We can cope with eating differences as the hotel we stay at serves food buffet style. We do have safeguarding policies in place, and you would be expected to sign an agreement and act on our guidelines.
The costs of these trips including hotel, food, driver, and tips are usually about £120 or $150 per day (not including airfare).
We can also arrange longer-term volunteer opportunities or family trips where you can visit the home on your way elsewhere.
